Ice(d) Scent Space Kit

As soon as I read the description, I wanted to have atleast one of them. I tried the spice scent space kit and found mine...the Spice Personal blew my mind... Its comforting, hugging and intimate scent. Perfect for netflix and chill dates or even to wear for work.... Lends you the warmth needed in this chilly and cold season..

The Spice kit, which includes all three fragrances, gives a great overview of the connections and differences between these scents. Surprisingly, the white version was the most pleasant and comfortable for me to wear, but the other two fragrances can also be easily linked to the other two scents.

Commodity gold is my perfect gourmand, this is the one I reach for time and time again. It has a warm milky scent, with hints of honey and vanilla. It’s so beautiful and the dry down just intensifies the gourmand elements on my skin. The longevity of commodity fragrances is insane, and I can still smell it on my skin 6+ hours later.

Im glad i ordered the gold kit so i could test them out and not blind buy. Definitely you need to try these on and wait for the scent to develop on your skin. This is a very subtle vanilla, a bit more powdery or spicy, depending the one you are testing. I decided to get one of the 3 (Gold Expressive). Definitely an every day soft vanilla powdery scent (that is how it developed on my skin.)

I have a sensitive nose and find that strong smells give me a headache. I love the concept of having the + & - versions on offer here.

The Juicy was too strong for me. The scent was lovely, fruity and floral, and lasted all day.

I prefer the Juicy - as it's a little more delicate. It still lasted the day.

I haven't tried juicy + though.

My favourite scent is Paper (personal) and I was keen to try the other two in the scents in the series. This is an ideal way to test them without paying for a full bottle though still a tadge expensive for what is essentially sample sizes. I’m pleased I did buy the set as I now know I like all three, each with the original scent but slightly different expressions.

I smelled Paper Expressive from a different sample kit and thought I loved it, but wanted to try the other forms of Paper. Wow, Paper Personal surprised me and I love it even more than Expressive. Despite the iso e super, I could smell this all day. I normally go anosmic to that particular note. I really appreciate the 2 ml sizes. This amount gave me time to fully experience the fragrance. Will certainly be coming back for a larger bottle.

I had received the "Book" scent in a Sephora sampler kit years ago and ordered this sampler (with rush shipping) to get it in time for Halloween. I LOVE how androgynous and complex this scent is, while not being overwhelming. It smells just as good as I remembered.

I like Book- and Book. Book+ was a little too smoky for my taste but not bad. Book expressive has decent longevity and the perfect amount of personal-space projection without having to hold your skin right up to your nose (if that’s what you want, try Book-). Book is a balanced woody and green scent that now and then fleetingly makes me think of a worn old paperback. I’ll probably get a bigger size when I finish the samples. I wish the coupon codes could go toward a 30ml even if it’s less $ off. I just will never go through 100ml of anything since I have several bottles in rotation.

I LOVED each scent and how bold or light they sit on me. I wear perfume for myself and to feel good. I like how small these are to just throw in my purse and take them with me on a little weekend getaway! I’m still in love with the expressive scent the most though. It’s a perfect balance between being a wallflower but also making an impact.

I must admit, what i love about these fragrances is how they are not mainstream. So I am hesitant to give an honest review on how fabulous they are!

Book personal for me is the best, but wish it lasted a little longer. It was gone after a couple of hours but I really enjoyed those hours.

The other 2 are quite masculine leaning, which i don't mind but I don't think it's too everyone's taste.

They last well and I love how I smell them in my clothes days later.

It's great to buy the test kits as it's a personal choice how loud one likes.

But I would certainly wear them all!! Love commodity

Rose perfumes can often smell dated, but rest assured, Velvet is no way reminiscent of what your grandmother would wear. All three scent spaces are modern, complex scents; different but with similar DNA.

Personal: Spicy opening of clove, followed by vanilla and rose with an amber and musk finish. Didn’t detect almond. Good longevity, limited projection. Magnificent skin scent.

Expressive: Less delicate than Personal, less complex than bold. Personally I felt it was stuck in halfway house. It wasn’t unpleasant, it just lacked what made the other scent spaces special.

Bold: A masterpiece. Smoky, woody, floral and amber. Perfectly balanced, intriguingly complex. A scent which is perfect for winter nights out. Strong projection and longevity.

The Scent Space discovery scent is beautifully packaged and represents good value for money.

I tried to like it, but it really smells a bit like an old lady to me 😅

My Partner said it reminded him of the old withered plastic that’s was stored in their grandma‘s attic so… I don’t know. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Still nice when you’re kind of in a goth-y mood, and there are notes that I really like about it, but not the dried roses I guess…💖
